Budget Lodge - Fort Sam - San Antonio

The beds were incredibly comfortable- perfect after a long day of exploring the city. , the location was very convenient -just a short walk from public transportation and great restaurants and shops. we really appreciated the complimentary breakfast, it gave us a solid start to our day of exploring.

The walls were a bit thin, and we could hear noise from the rooms next door. , the bathroom could have been cleaner and better maintained -the faucet was leaking and the shower head was loose.

The room was dirty. I itched & stung all night because the sheets were dirty and had bed bugs. The shower had an air vent on the wall right next to the shower head that was covered in dirt. The vent blew cold air on you while you were in the shower. Dirt & dust was on everything in the room. It was a horrible experience.

Room filthy!!! Full of dust Maintenance horrible Entire hotel need a make over! The earns the money make it !!! People You are robbing innocent and good willed people when you falsely advertise a hotel with pictures that are dated way back to when the hotel first opened!!! Update your pictures to 2016 photos if how run down the place actually and tell the truth!!!

We had a great time during our romantic escape at this hotel. the staff was friendly and helpful. the location was perfect, only a short distance from popular attractions and restaurants. the room was cozy and clean, with comfortable pillows and a nice hot shower.

There were a few things that could have been better. the room was a bit outdated and could use some renovations.

My family loved the breakfast. The staff were very pleasant and quickly resolved my issues when I expressed concern.

The room smelled. The bathroom was nasty. There were spiders in the bath tub,hair everywhere in the tub and on the floor, trash can was gross, tub & toilette were dirty. The TV remote was missing, spider webs in the corner of the room, light bulbs in the lamps were missing and no extra blankets when requested only a sheet. Oh and we found a bat under the bed which made it feel very unsafe. Also, my booking was deleted by accident but I had the conformation from the website so they found us a room. We ended up getting a refund and finding a new place about 3hrs after check-in though.

Breakfast was good ... But instead of good morning you'll get "what is your room number ?" ... Unlike other Texas hotels, not friendly here at all

Room was very tired ... Sheets were clean .. Carpet multiple stains ...caulking in bathroom poorly done ... Also ceiling cracks were caulked ... Who does that ?? Room smelled ... Took a day of ac to rid of it ... Towels too small and scratchy ... Wifi did not work ... Inquired .... Told me they called someone ... that apparently as a standard lie they tell becaus when when I inquired next day guy said he would reset router .. If he really did it made no difference ... Worst was tha we changed our plans and decided to leave after 2 days of a three day booking with Booked.net .... In spite of informing the front desk and confirming with the same person, the message was never passed to Booked.net so we ended up paying for a night we didn't us ... Considering the duplicity about the wifi, it is hard for me to believe this was not accidental ....

This hotel offers great value for money, with reasonable prices for the quality of service provided. The staff are attentive to detail and ensure that basic amenities are available. The location is convenient, close to downtown and the AT&T center, making it easy to explore the area we were visiting.

Bed was comfortable, location was right night to at&t center. Reasonble price.

Restroom smelled like urine. We had no toilet paper. Front desk said we had to go to front to get a roll. When we first arrived both the cards were not reading to open our door. So we had to wait for someone to bring us new cards to open our door. Room smelled a little old and moldy.

I had a great experience at this hotel. the location was perfect for my needs - it was near downtown and close to everything I wanted to visit. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service throughout my stay. I also found the prices to be quite reasonable, offering great value for money. Additionally, the basic amenities provided were sufficient, and the breakfast in particular was delicious.

My stay at this hotel was fantastic.

Mold on the tile and grout in bathroom. Peeling molding.

The doors don't close right you have to slam them and there was roaches..the pictures on the web is nothing to we saw.

Everything Staff was rude and not friendly

The hotel was conveniently located near downtown, making it easy for us to explore the area. It was also close to the AT&T Center, perfect for catching a game or concert. the room had comfortable beds, ensuring a good night's sleep. the friendly staff was apologetic and refunded part of our payment due to the issues we encountered.

The receptionists were not very accommodating and had a rude attitude towards guests.

The maid service banged on the door like the was the police.

Microwave did not have a plate in it to use. Coffee pot with no coffee or cups. Over head lights in bedroom deliberately not working. Minimum night stand lighting in bedroom. Vanity light in bathroom not working ... dark to put makeup on. Wear white socks to bed...were absolutely black by the time I walked around on carpet. Had a handicap "suite" with dirty couch and chair. Shower in bath had no lip so water ran onto the tile floor and you could have slipped and killed yourself not to mention having to mop up the water. Broomhilda grilled everyone before they could go into have breakfast. Synthetic rubber eggs. Had one roll of toilet paper and we couldn't get anymore! Had maybe 20 sheets left after 3 days and both of us had a bad stomach. Second worst place we have stayed in in 50 years and I and my husband traveled most of our lives with our jobs. The pictures do not depict the ran down poor rat hotel that this is!
